Shirley Sturges

Passed away on 26 March 2017, aged 83 years.

"Shirley was a loving and devoted Mum, Gran, Wife, Mother in Law and a dear friend to many. She sadly passed away on the 26th of March this year after a three year fight against cancer.

She fought on far past the point anyone had expected, even hanging on that last week to make it to Mother’s day; and this will always be a testament to how much she cared for those in her life, that she hung on to be with us all for as long as possible. 


This page has been set up so that donations may be made in her memory for the Duchess of Kent hospice on Liebenrood Road in Reading. Shirley was extremely grateful to them, and knowing she was going into the care of the amazing staff there gave her comfort and dignity in her final days. She would be very happy to think that her passing inspired more people to help this wonderful charity, so we ask that you make whatever donation you can via this page so that they will be delivered in Shirley’s memory.
