Delivery and returns
Yes, you can still place an order with us. Delivery will be made to one of our AB Walker branches and collection will be from there only.
Delivery times from our suppliers to us are usually within 4-5 working days from the order date. Bespoke items such as fingerprint items, usually take 4 – 6 weeks from the order date. Once we have received the item we will let you know so that you can collect it from your local branch,
If the item you want is not available, we will check with our supplier if there is a suitable alternative, or when the item will be back in stock.
Ashes urns and caskets
If you wish the urn to hold all of the ashes, for an average-sized adult, an urn that holds 3-3.5 litres will usually be suitable. We recommend speaking to your funeral arranger if you are unsure on size before ordering.
It depends on the specific design that you choose. Our urns come in all shapes and sizes so open in different ways. Some of our urns will likely have a threaded screw-top lid, whilst others may have the opening from the base of the urn.
We always recommend that your Funeral Director does this for you. It can be quite an emotional task.
Memorial jewellery
Yes, once the plug is in the contents should be secure. For extra peace of mind, you could add a small amount of super glue or epoxy resin. Although the jewellery will be somewhat waterproof, we do not recommend wearing it in the swimming pool or in the shower.
If you think that you would like to purchase a fingerprint item from our range, talk to your funeral arranger contact about this before the funeral takes place, so that we can take several fingerprint copies to use in this event.
