So sad to hear of the passing of Richard. I was aware of his ongoing battle and was kept updated via John Nesbit who was in contact with Mim. I knew Richard through the various professional Forums and latterly his role as Administrator and joint-originator of the Oil Technicians Forum. His work and contribution to the Forum will always be remembered and appreciated He was highly thought of and his opinion was fair-minded and so worth listening to. As someone has already said, it was not just his excellent professional advice but his observations about life in general that always held my attention and always left me with a quiet and reflective smile. You will be missed Richard. My sincere condolences to Mim and your family

Richard was a valued friend and fellow technician. A positive asset to our industry through his membership of several trade organisations, as well as his thousands of contributions to a number of internet forums . A source of valuable information to hundreds,(if not thousands) over the years He was also my "Phone a friend". I don't think I ever had a problem which Richard could not assist with. I will miss him, as will hundreds of others. Deepest sympathy and condolences to Mim and the family. John, Ros and the girls

Richard was a good friend to Jane and I and was very supportive of me when I was Chairman of OFTEC's RTC/1 committee. He was a very fine heating engineer and I for one will miss our conversations at the IDHEE conferences. Mim, Jane and I send our sincerest condolences to you and the family and hope you will be able to see us again one day. With our love, Clive and Jane.

Steve Piper - Oil Boiler Technicians Forum

£50.00

We were sorry to hear that Richard had passed away. Richard was a valued member of the Oil Heating Network Forum and was highly respected by it's members. It was a shock to us to hear this news. Since the closing of the Oil Heating Network Forum, the Oil Boiler Technicians Forum was created and some members from the OHN who knew Richard joined the OBTF. He will be greatly missed by his friends and colleagues on this forum. I had spoken to Richard several times and had the pleasure of meeting him in 2013 at the OHN breakfast. Our thoughts are with you and your family at this time and we would like to make a donation to your charity of choice Marie Curie Care. With deepest sympathy from all at the Oil Boiler Technicians Forum and myself Steve Piper - OBTF admin.
