As a child I lived next door to John and Mary and the family in Emmbrook. John was always welcoming, generous and interesting to talk to. He always seemed to have a scientific or educational project of some sort on the go. At every visit there were things to learn from John. I feel privileged to have known this kind and clever and multi-talented man. My thoughts are with the family.
