I taught French at Highdown with Hazel. She certainly loved her job and enjoyed teaching all her pupils. I started in 1973. I left in 1976 to have children but we have always kept in touch and when I have been back in Reading, I would call in past. She was always there to give me advice and a helping hand and indeed, she was a lovely friend.
