The word "monolith" comes from Greek words "mon," meaning singular, and "lithos," meaning stone.

A Monolith Headstone is one solid piece of stone, with a portion of the stone buried into the ground. The stone is fixed to a concrete foundation for extra stability. These types of stone are traditionally fitted in Churchyards.
